Quick version: Go to Forms and switch the year selector at the top of the page to the tax year you want.
Helper keeps your forms from every tax year on the Forms page. You can open and print previous years’ forms at no extra cost.
View forms from a previous year
Go to Forms in the left menu.
Click the year selector at the top of the page and choose the tax year you want. Choose All Years to see every year at once.
Review the list. The tabs and counts update to show only that year’s forms.
Click a form’s name to open it.
Print forms from a previous year
Check the box next to each form you want to print.
Click Print in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
See How to Print a Single Form for the print options.
Good to know:
No watermark or Print Access needed. When every form in a print job is from a previous tax year, Helper prints without a watermark at no charge.
The exception: 1096 and W-3. On a blank sheet, a 1096 or W-3 always prints with a watermark.
One form type per print job. Select only 1099-NECs, for example, or only W-2s.
One tax year for pre-printed forms. If you’re using All Years, select forms from a single year before printing on pre-printed forms.
Don’t mix years. If you include current-year forms in the same print job, the usual Print Access rules apply.
Which years can I view?
Every tax year on your account. The year selector lists each one, plus All Years.
Can I create new forms for a previous year?
Yes, for recent years. The Tax year list in Add a new form shows which years are available, which may be fewer years than the year selector. See How to Create a Form for a Previous Tax Year. [CHECK: depends on the PM’s answer about the creation window]
Can I export previous years’ forms to CSV or Excel?
Not yet. Export is coming in a future update.
Can I edit, eFile, or correct a previous year’s form?
You can open and edit previous-year forms that haven’t been filed. Corrections to previous-year forms filed through the IRS FIRE system aren’t available in Helper yet. They’re expected in 2027.
When you’re done, switch the year selector back to the current tax year.
