Forms show each year’s individual forms.
Reports summarize your data by issuer and tax year.
Want to see or print individual forms? Go to See a previous year’s forms. Want totals or a file you can export? Go to Run a report for a previous year.
See a previous year’s forms
Go to Forms in the left menu.
Click the year selector at the top of the page and choose the tax year you want. Choose All Years to see every year at once.
Review the list. The tabs and counts update to show only that year’s forms.
To open or print those forms, see How to View Previous Years’ Forms.
Run a report for a previous year
Go to Reports. The E-Filing Status report opens first.
Click Form Data Summary for a printable overview of one issuer’s forms, with totals by form type.
Choose an Issuer. The report stays empty until you do.
Choose one or more years from the Tax year filter.
Review the report. It lists each tax year and form type with the number of forms and a grand total, then the form data for each recipient.
Click Export to save the report, or Print summary and forms to print it. The summary prints first, followed by a mini form for every recipient.
What other reports can I filter by tax year?
The Reports page has four reports:
E-Filing Status: each eFiled form’s submitted and accepted dates, IRS receipt, and status (Processing, Accepted, or Rejected). Filter by Issuer, Tax year, Form type, and Filing status.
Form Data Summary: totals and form data for one issuer, by tax year and form type.
Client Billing: what you’ve been billed, by tax year.
Form Delivery Status: whether recipient copies were sent, opened, or failed.
Can I create or change previous-year forms?
See How to Create a Form for a Previous Tax Year for what you can do with forms from earlier years.
