Common questions

Can I add state eFile after I check out?

No. If you uncheck Include eligible forms for State eFiling, you’ll see Proceed without state eFile? asking you to confirm, because state eFile can’t be added after checkout.

Why does it say a form couldn’t be sent?

The recipient has no email address on file, so their copy can’t be emailed. Click View forms needing email addresses on the confirmation screen, then add the email address to that recipient.

Can I correct a form after I eFile it?

Yes, once the form moves to Accepted. Until then, it’s locked while it’s processed.

Do I need to file a W-3 with my W-2s?

No. Your W-3 transmittal is included when you eFile your W-2s.

Why can’t I submit my state reconciliation?

The message lists what’s missing, such as a TIN or street address. Add the missing details to the Issuer, then return to checkout.
