How to find your way around the Dashboard

Navigate your Helper dashboard with ease.

The Dashboard is your home page in Adams Tax Forms Helper. It shows your season’s progress, what needs your attention, and shortcuts to add forms, payers or employers, and recipients.

In Adams Tax Forms Helper, payers and employers are called Issuers. The Dashboard also shows your eFile credits, how recipient copies are being delivered, and your recent activity. To go anywhere else, use the left menu: Issuers, Recipients, Forms, Import Center, Credits, and Reports.

Use the Dashboard

Most of these links open another page. Click the Dashboard icon to come back.

The Dashboard updates as you work. When you add an Issuer, recipient, or form, the banner counts and Recent Activity update. Once you have a form, What needs you shows what to do next.

Common questions

Why don’t I see What needs you on my Dashboard?

What needs you appears once you’ve added your first form. Until then, you’ll see Get your season started, a short checklist that walks you through adding your first Issuer, your recipients, and your first form.

How do I know how many credits filing will use?

Each item in What needs you tells you, for example Uses 1 federal credit. Your current credits show in Credit Balance.

How do I use a promo code?

REVIEW (accuracy): In testing, Redeem opens the Prepaid Credits page, which has no visible promo code field. Confirm where the customer enters the code (Prepaid Credits or checkout) and finish this answer.

Click Redeem next to Have a promo code? in Credit Balance. This opens the Prepaid Credits page.

What’s the fastest way to bring in last year’s data?

Click Copy from Last Year in the quick actions. To bring in a list from Excel or a CSV file instead, click Import.
