How it works

  • Log in to Adams® Tax Forms Helper® with your password, just like always

  • Tax Forms Helper will send a 6-digit code to your phone via text message (or email if you so selected) to enter at our site. Your code will expire after 60 minutes and you have up to 5 attempts to enter it correctly.

  • Enter your one-time user code at Adams Tax Forms Helper Online to access your account.

What if I don’t receive my user code

  • Make sure your phone plan and mobile phone support text message (SMS) delivery.

  • Delivery speed and service availability may vary by location and service provider. You may want to wait a few minutes before requesting a new code

  • Still waiting? If you didn’t get the code, you can click “Resend my code”.

  • If you’re still having trouble, chat with us. Use “verification code” in your message and our Customer Service team can help.

What if I don’t have access to my phone?

You can ask Tax Forms Helper to send the code to the email associated with your account.

What if I receive an authentication code I didn’t request?

If you get a text with an authentication code that you didn’t request, it may mean an unauthorized user is attempting to access your account.

  • Login and change your password to protect your Adams Tax Forms Helper Online account.

  • It may be a good idea to update any of your other password accounts that aren’t protected by 2-step authentication to keep them safe as well.

Other tips to safeguard all your passwords

  • DO use a long password: Passwords should be a minimum of 8 characters, so consider using phrases.

  • DO mix it up: Passwords should contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.

  • DO change them regularly: Passwords should be updated on a frequent basis, so set a calendar reminder.

  • DON’T choose common passwords: No “password,” “12345,” “qwerty,” or similar passwords that can be easily guessed.

  • DON’T use identifying information: No birthdays, last names, or other details that can be easily found online.

  • DON’T reuse passwords: No copy-and-paste passwords that can be found out if just one is hacked.
