Updated this week

After eFiling a correction you might want to go back and print a recipient copy or a copy of the 1096 for your records. Here's how you can do that.

From your dashboard, go to “Forms.”

Next, use the 1099 for which you want to print a 1096 Recipient copy. Here, we’ll be working with our corrected 1099-MISC.

Select the 1099C you want to generate a summary for. menu to the right of your form. Again, we’re working with our corrected 1099-MISC. Click Generate 1096/W-3.

Next, choose to print on a pre-printed IRS form or blank sheet. In this case, we’re choosing to “Print onto a Blank Sheet of Paper for records or recipient copies. You can choose to print with or without a watermark. In this case, we're printing with a watermark for records or test printing.

Scroll down and click Print Forms.

Next, you'll see the watermarked version of your summary on the screen.

Click the print icon in the upper right.

Click “Print.”

Next, click the printer icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Next, click “Print.”

Your form will go to the printer. Good on you!
