TIN Check Service lets you check a Taxpayer ID Number and a specific name to ensure that these match in the IRS database

Our optional TIN check service is always a great way to double-check that you submitted the correct tax ID numbers to the IRS. Adams® Tax Forms Helper® will submit your selections to validate TIN / name combinations.

But please take note: this process will happen prior to your submission of your information returns. So please wait for TIN verification results to arrive before printing or eFiling your forms. That way you can make any changes if needed. TIN match results are generally returned within 24 - 48 hours of your submission. Here’s a step-by-step guide about how TIN matching services work.

From your dashboard, go to “Forms.”

Next, check the box or boxes you’d like to TIN Check.

Next, click the “Checkout & File” button.

You’ll see the Filings Ready to Submit, and you’ll check the boxes under TIN Check for the specific filings you want TIN Checked.

Next, Click the blue “Checkout” button.

You’ll enter your credit card information at Checkout, and you’ll see the Order Summary to the right of your information.

You’ll get a notification that your Order is complete.

Finally, you’ll also receive an email with details of your order.
