What’s New:

  • "Save & Next" button - You can now move from one form to the next without returning to the list.

  • Edit Account Details - Update your account information including what email we send notifications to.

  • 1098 Corrections - We added our corrections process to 1098 forms.

  • Better corrections instructions and print form page - We reviewed every type of correction and updated the instructions to be more helpful. We also added a “What’s Next” page at the end of the process to help guide you through what forms you need to send to the IRS/SSA.

  • Use the same SSN for multiple payers - Serial entrepreneurs can now have multiple LLCs under the same SSN. The IRS rule of one EIN per company name will still be enforced.

  • Recipients can now get multiple of the same type of form - This will no longer trigger a duplicate form error, just a warning.

  • “Add Another State/Locality” button on W-2s - Employees can now get a W-2 form with extra state or local tax information.

  • Selections are “sticky” - Now when you filter to a payer, type of form, or check a checkbox that selection will stay even if you leave the page. No need to redo your selections every time you come back to the list.

  • Little things - We renamed the “Filings” page to “Forms,” removed the hyperlinks on names in the “Forms” list, removed the splash page when you log in, and renamed some fields on 1098 and checkout forms.

Bug Fixes:

  • W-2C corrections are back online - We were getting a lot of rejected forms back from the SSA due to incorrect user inputs. We’ve added rules around what you can and cannot eFile to help prevent rejected files.

  • Corrections checkbox printing on 1099 forms - On some types of 1099 corrections the CORRECTION checkbox was or was not being checked on the right version.

  • Long business names were causing an error in checkout - We capped the length of the name submitted to the credit card processor to prevent these errors.

  • 1099 forms can have recipients with ITINs - A rule preventing ITINs on W-2 forms was affecting 1099 and 1098 forms.
