Helper supports the common 1099s, including the 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-R, and 1099-S. Every form you create appears on the Forms page.
Adding many 1099s at once? Use Import on the Forms page instead. See Upload Payer, Recipient & Form Data in an Excel Template.
Add a 1099 form
Go to Forms in the left menu.
Click Add a new form.
Choose a Tax year. Helper remembers your choice for next time.
Under Form type, choose the 1099 you need, such as 1099-NEC Nonemployee Compensation. The list shows the forms available for the tax year you picked.
Click Continue.
Under Issuer — (Payer), click the picker and choose the issuer. You can search by name or TIN.
Under Recipient, choose the recipient.
Fill in the form boxes. Required boxes are marked with an asterisk (*).
Click Save & Continue. To start another form right away, click Save & Add another.
Good to know: The form boxes and save buttons stay locked until you choose both an issuer and a recipient.
Issuer or recipient not set up yet? Click the + next to Issuer — (Payer) or Recipient to add one without leaving the form. See How to Add a Recipient Manually.

Box 2: Payer made direct sales totaling $5,000 or more (checkbox)
Box 3: Excess golden parachute payments

Edit a 1099 form
Go to Forms in the left menu.

Click the form’s name, or click Actions on its row and choose Edit a Form.
Update the boxes you need.
Click Save & Continue.
Need a different tax year or form type? You can’t change those on an existing form. Delete it and create a new one.
Delete a 1099 form
Warning: deleting a form is permanent. This can’t be undone. Forms that have already been eFiled can’t be deleted.
Go to Forms and find the form.
Click Actions on its row, then click Delete Form.
In the Delete form window, click Delete, or click Cancel if you change your mind.
Deleting several at once? Check the box next to each form, then click Delete in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Any filed forms in your selection are skipped.
What if the 1099 was already eFiled?
Filed forms can’t be edited or deleted like a draft. Instead, click Actions on the form’s row and choose Make a correction. See Correcting a 1099 Form with an Incorrect Recipient Name or TIN.
Make a correction isn’t available when:
The form hasn’t been filed yet. Edit it instead.
The form was rejected. Fix it and resubmit with Edit and Replace.
The form type doesn’t support corrections yet.
How do I find a specific form?
Use the tabs at the top of the Forms list: All Forms, Needs action, Incomplete, Ready to file, Queued & sent, and Accepted. You can also pick a tax year, search by issuer or TIN, and narrow the list with the Issuers, Form Types, and Form Statuses filters.
When your 1099s are ready, select them and click Checkout & File. See How to eFile with the IRS or SSA.
